Wyoming occupies the space of 253 348 km² (the 10th place among states). It is limited only to lines of latitudes and longitudes, and, as well as Colorado, forms correct "rectangle" in a projection. In the north Wyoming borders on the State of Montana, in the east — on South Dakota and Nebraska, in the south — on Colorado and Utah, in the West — on Idaho.
The western part of Wyoming is occupied with the Rocky Mountains; the highest point — the mountain Gannet-Pik (4207 m). Average height above sea level 2042 m.
According to Bureau of population census of the USA for July 1, 2011 the population of the state makes 568 158 people; in comparison with data of census of 2010 the gain made 0,8%
